In the field of AR glasses manufacturing that pursues the ultimate immersive experience, the active calibration (AA) of optical machine modules is the core link to achieve clear, comfortable and dizzy-free visual effects, and is also a key challenge for mass production implementation. Traditional calibration methods are often unable to meet the following complex needs:

 

◆ Multi-component precision coupling challenge: LCoS optical machines require accurate alignment between the imaging module, lighting module and screen, and the calibration solution for lighting modules has been missing for a long time; the three-color MicroLED optical machines face the problem of combined light offset of RGB chips, and require submicron-level accuracy to ensure that the color is pure and the picture coincides with.

◆ Complex optical aberration correction: Astigmatism brought by optical waveguides will significantly reduce edge imaging clarity and affect user experience.

◆ Binocular coordination and parallax elimination: The entire AR glasses machine needs to accurately synchronize the binocular eye machine to control the viewing angle difference to a very small range (such as ±0.5°), otherwise it is very easy to cause dizziness from the user.

◆ Balance between accuracy and efficiency: High-precision calibration often means inefficiency and is difficult to meet the requirements of UPH for large-scale mass production (such as 60 units/hour or higher). 

◆ High complexity of process integration: The calibration process requires seamless connection of subsequent processes such as dispensing, curing, focusing, and glue shrinkage compensation, and the process is complex.
